Afshin Bhimani, MA (she/her/they/them)
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Hi, I'm Afshin — pronounced “of-sheen". I'm a queer therapist, and my goal is to create a safe place for you to land.
I work with teens, young adults, and LGBTQIA+ folks who are navigating life with neurodivergence, anxiety, burnout, identity exploration, or the exhausting pressure to keep it all together. Whether you're masking all day, stuck in task paralysis, or trying to survive another social interaction without a sensory hangover — I see you, and I'm here to help.
My approach is collaborative, human-centered, and responsive to what you need in the moment. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic theory, DBT, CBT, and Solution-Focused work — but more than anything, I focus on creating a space where you feel seen, respected, and never pressured to be “normal.”
Therapy with me is a space to question old stories, build new tools, and make room for both survival and joy. Some weeks, you'll be deep in the hard stuff. Other weeks, we celebrate that you made your bed — or just remembered to eat!
If you're looking for someone who gets the push-pull of being too much and never enough, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
Afshin earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Marriage and Family Therapy from Touro Worldwide University in 2024. She joined Weekend Therapy in May 2025 where she functions as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist under the supervision of Dr. Nicholas K. Bennett.
